Pines Subdivision

Project Overview

The Pines Subdivision required moving 140,000 cubic yards of earth across multiple development phases. iHawl delivered innovative dirt management solutions that created significant cost and timing efficiencies by strategically using material from future phases, demonstrating how smart planning turns challenges into competitive advantages.

Strategic Dirt Management Innovation

Rather than importing expensive fill material or paying to haul away excess dirt, we analyzed the entire development’s grading needs across all phases. By strategically moving dirt from future phases to current work areas, we eliminated double-handling, reduced material costs, and accelerated the timeline. This approach required sophisticated planning and our advanced technology to ensure proper quantities and grades across the entire project.

K-TEC Scraper Technology

To execute this large-scale dirt movement efficiently, we deployed two new K-TEC pan scrapers—advanced equipment that dramatically increases productivity on mass grading projects. These machines allowed us to move massive quantities of earth quickly while maintaining the precision that proper site development demands. Combined with our Trimble technology, the scrapers turned what could have been a year-long project into a much shorter timeline.

Comprehensive Approach

Moving 140,000 cubic yards efficiently across multiple phases requires more than just equipment, it demands strategic thinking about the entire development. Our team coordinated earthwork, utility planning, and drainage systems while maintaining organized job sites that reflected our commitment to professionalism and safety.

Results

The Pines Subdivision demonstrates what’s possible when advanced equipment meets strategic planning and technology-driven execution. By using dirt from future phases strategically, we delivered significant cost savings and timeline advantages while creating the infrastructure foundation for a thriving residential community. Our investment in K-TEC scraper technology and our commitment to smart dirt management proved that innovation drives real value for our partners.
