iHawl is a complete sitework subcontractor delivering high-quality underground utility work and pad-ready sites. We’re hiring Utility Heavy Equipment Operators to run excavators, loaders, and backhoes for trenching, pipe install, and backfill operations.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment for trench excavation, pipe laying, and backfilling.
- Use trench boxes, lasers, and shoring safely.
- Coordinate with Foremen and Pipelayers for sequence and grade.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and follow trench safety standards.
- Step off the machine as needed to assist the crew.
Requirements
- 3+ years in underground utility or sitework operations.
- Skilled in trenching, backfill, and fine grading.
- OSHA 10 (required) / OSHA 30 (preferred).
- GPS or laser experience (Trimble, AGTEK) a plus.
- Team player with strong communication.
